Grrrls Literary Activism Project
In collaboration with City High School, we will continue our Grrrls Literary Activism Project this fall. Girls ages 14 to 17 will gather for a series of weekly workshops designed to hone their skills as thinkers, writers and literary activists. Participants will themselves and each other critical questions about their lives and the world, read what women have had to say on these issues, write their own original words, and finally bring their work to the public sphere. These workshops will be held at Casa Libre en la Solana, a writer's retreat in Tucson.
